PVR Studios / Presenter

PVR studio is based in Darlington and provides music technology facilities across three rooms. One large fully equipped recording studio complete with club style DJ Booth and two smaller rooms fully kitted out with DJ/ Music Technology equipment.

The project is the legacy of Peter Ryan a well known and much loved DJ from Darlington (PVR stands for Peter Vincent Ryan). Peter was the creator of the first and most famous house music parties in Darlington back in 1991 at Club Lucy’s. We sadly lost Peter in September 2013 so his closest friends and DJ production partners created this project to pass Peter’s passion for music on to the next generation to provide a fitting legacy to a great man.

We will provide top class equipment for hire and will run Music Production and DJ courses. We believe everybody should have the chance to develop their skills and passion for music and we will provide discounted and free courses and mentoring to the underprivileged, in addition to sensibly priced courses to those who can afford it

We want to become a source of inspiration for the next generation of DJs and producers and also to inspire people who may have lost their way. To provide an environment where you can express yourself in music without distraction and with full support and mentoring from some of the most experienced producers and DJs in our area.

We want to provide a social hub, supporting the local scene and providing something to aspire to for disengaged young people.
